East Lyme Public Schools offers a quality early childhood experience for preschool age children during the school year as well as the summer, intended to be a positive initial school experience and springboard into Kindergarten.
Our Preschool aged Programs are staffed with dedicated and compassionate employees who cherish their time with your children and pride themselves in creating a safe and nurturing environment. Our playschool programs focus on four performance standards: personal and social development, physical development, cognitive development and creative expression. These domains are reflected in the program through morning meetings, center time and outdoor play. Our programs are built to enhance children’s academic and social development, using play based learning and hands on teaching methods
