This Spring, Flanders will be offering a one day a week, one hour STEM club for After Care students. Club Lead: Matthew Reichelt Who: After Care Students who sign up. If you aren’t in the aftercare program, you can sign up for the club and will be charged the cost of aftercare for the duration of the club. Your child will be dismissed to the aftercare program, receive a snack, go to the club, and can return to the aftercare program. Pick-up is no later than 6:00 PM. Grades K,1st, & 2nd welcome. What: What: a five-week, hands-on STEM club for students that uses exciting, “magical” experiments to spark curiosity and build foundational science skills. Through activities exploring light, magnetism, chemical reactions, and invisible forces, students move from “wow” to “why” using inquiry-based learning. When: K,1st, & 2nd will meet on Mondays from 4:00 PM- 5:00 PM for 5 weeks (see dates below) Where: Flanders Elementary School Dates: 4/20, 4/27, 5/4, 5/11, 5/18
